Not far off the Somali coast one of the big Vestel cargo vessels is taken over by pirates! Within a split of a second the ship has a new captain, the soup is gone as well as the cargo itself. Will our Vestrons be able to strike back?
Before you start writing think about the setting and imagine you are there.
Somali pirates take over a huge cargo freighter at sea. Things don’t look good for the crew, until the pirates start to investigate the cargo—Vestrons! Engage!
Create
WALT write a narrative through the eyes of one of the crew, or robots.
- Describe the setting in detail.Think about words to describe the situation, what you see, smell, taste, hear. Try to use words that create the mood.
- Now…..Write a first person narrative through the eyes of one of the crew or one of the robots. How you are feeling when the boat is invaded by pirates.

It was six am in the morning. I looked out my window and I saw some pirates that wanted to kill us . The pirates were trying to get on the boat. The pirates threw their anchors on the silver rail and climbed up on the boat. The pirate ran though the white doors and went down stairs to the kitchen. One of the pirates tried the soup. The soup was as yummy as cake. The pirates were trying to look for treasure but they didn’t know it was robots. The robots were as silver as a chromebook. The pirates didn't find treasure in the containers. The pirates ran into the machinery area. The machines were as big as a elephant. The machines were as loud as a train. The pirates ran to the captain’s cabin. The pirates said give me the hat and keys. The keys were as silver as shells. The other pirates tried up the captain to a post. The post was a long as a pole. The robots started coming out of their containers. One robot came out of the roof and pushed a pirates into the sea. The sea was a blue as the sky. The pirate was a smelly as a rubbish bin. The robot pushed the pirates of the boat but the 3 in the captain’s cabin. One robot went into the captain’s cabin and tapped on one pirate's shoulder. The robot said look outside. The pirate said where are the other pirates. In the sea and died. The robot took the keys and hat away from the pirate and gave it back to the captain. The captain had a hot coffee. The coffee was as hot as chilli. The captain drove everyone back home.
