 Upstanders & Bystanders.

We have been studying the subject of bullying. It involves up standers, bystanders and victims. Bystanders just look on and watch while the victim is bullied.  An upstander has at least 5 good qualities. They assist the victim, they don't throw any punches but they report the incident to authorities who can help.

Why? In the 1950s Hamilton set out to try to build a boat that could navigate the shallow fast flowing rivers where he lived. The rivers were too shallow for propeller driven boats to navigate as the propeller would hit the river bottom. He's from christchurch. 

Wānanga: Maori tikanga value

Maori tikanga value in our Wānanga group we are focusing on the value of  Tuakana and Teina. The meaning of Tuakana and Teina It refers to the relationship between an older person (tuakana) and a younger person (teina). The meaning is literally older sibling-younger sibling.  So by showing it i'm going to help the younger kids, by showing them around the school and showing them the car values.

• Do not drink and run in the science lab
• Be sensible in the science lab
• put your bag  underneath your desk
• Do not taste anything you are unsure of in the science lab
• Listen to the teachers if you are in the science lab

Sound Trap

 In hurumanu 2 we are learning how to creat music. We had to pick a video, for us to make beat to go with it. We picked a video of people playing basketabll in slow motions. The purpose of the music was to make a mood for the video. Then we had to try and make the beat and the music the same length. Then we edited the video on wevideo.  Here is my video.

Pizza slice

 On Wednesday for our  cooking class we made pizza slices in our class. It was good because it had a lot of different types of things on the pizza. it tasted like a burnt pizza with onions and pepper but the yum kind of burnt, well that was really yum. It was a quick thing to make it took about 10 minutes in the oven and 10 minutes preparing it.

Hurumanu 2 Counting the beat

 So this term of doing counting the beat i knew how to play three of the cords, and the first three cords is b a and and that spells bag. i learnt how to play the recorder  and play Mary had a little lamb, when I first heard it i liked how it sounded. I found it difficult to learn the cords. I want to know how to play more songs on the recorder.
