Our comfort zone

Our comfort zone

Today in Values, we learned about risk-taking.  The kind of risk-taking we are talking about is the things that we can do to develop our learning, enjoy new experiences and grow as people.
We discussed what our comfort zone is and how we need to take different paths at times, often feeling like risks, where we may feel uncomfortable and out of our comfort zone.  This is where the learning, growth and enjoyment happens.
We decided to create our learning about our own comfort zones by using either a Google Drawing or Mind Mup.
I got my information from our class blog

Today our whole school got to meet a couple of people and animals from fanimals.  If you don't know what fanimals is it is a tv show about animals, the show has over 20 animals but only one animal is theirs the rest of the animals are visitors for the show.  There are 2 leaders Jess and Stacey but only Jess came. Two of the animal careers came too. They brought one animal, and it was a dog, his name was Molson

Orana park 2019

Orana park

Yesterday our school went on a trip to Orana park but it was only the seniors that went. We saw lions, tigers, llamas and way more.  When we went to the gorillas they were all sleeping three were only 3  they all had a little blanket.  We didn't get too fed the giraffe's though because we only had 5 minutes to get on the bus so we just tallked about them. Here are some photos and some facts that I learned.

I learned that people are trying to hunt for rhinos horns and they are made out of our fingernails. Did you know that?

I learned that gorillas are our first cousin. Did you know that?

I learned that a  neck is too short to reach the ground. Did you know that?

One of my favourite Animals that I saw was the pigs. I don't know why the pig was my favourite animals. I just think they are really cute sleeping. There were 3 pigs but I only got to see one. I think it was a boy but I'm, not 100% sure. It was grey with black spots on it. My friend said the other 2 were just all black. I had a very good time at Orana Park.
